Installing Unturned

Installing Unturned™ is the foundational step every aspiring modder must complete before writing a single line of code, sculpting a single model, or editing a single configuration file. This section of the 57 Studios™ Modding Knowledge Base walks through the entire install pipeline in deliberate, sequential detail. By the time you finish the articles below, Unturned will be installed on your computer, the game files will be verified against Steam's manifest, you will know exactly where the install folder lives on your hard drive, you will understand how Steam decides where to put games by default, and you will have launched the game once to allow it to initialize its configuration files. Every later section of this knowledge base assumes these six steps have already been completed.
